[영어 문법] 가주어 it과 there 구문

1. 가주어 it

가주어는 진짜 주어인 진주어 대신에 주어자리에 쓰이는 것이 가주어라고 불리는데 진주어로는 to 부정사구나 that 절이 있다.

ex) It is very important that I exercise now.
ex) It is a very important to study

여기서 가주어는 it이며 진주어는 to studying이다. 만약 가주어를 사용하지않으면 아래와 같아진다.

ex) That I exercsie now is very important
ex) To study is a very important.

진주어인 To studying이 주어자리에 오기 때문에 가주어인 it은 존재할 곳이 더이상 없기에 제외된다.

진주어로 동사(study)와 동명사(studying)은 올 수 없다.

또한 가주어 자리에 it 대신에 that이나 there은 올 수 없다.

2. there 구문

there + be / renaub /exist 뒤에는 주어 자리이므로 명사(구)가 온다.

• there be동사 + 명사(구): ~이 있다.
  • ex) There is an apple.
• there remain + 명사(구): ~이 남아 있다.
  • There remain more questions than answers.
• there exist + 명사(구): ~이 있다.
  • There exist various thoughts.
